Lightstep is an observability platform that approached us after having recently undergone a large-scale branding effort. They had a style guide, but were finding it difficult to implement in the real world.

They wanted a design partner who could turn their new direction into templates, icons, diagrams, ads, sales decks and more. But most importantly, they needed to sync these visual efforts across previously siloed product, marketing, and sales teams.

CUSTOM DIAGRAMS AND ILLUSTRATIONS

Lightstep’s product is complex, but their target developer market is savvy and quirky. Using their brand styles, we create delightful line art that expands their toolbox of icons and diagrams.

 
 

AD DESIGN

Collaborating with team members in the marketing and sales departments, we create a wide range of ads and templatize all elements for quick updates and easy variation testing. We love being involved in this creative process from the beginning, and finding creative ways to empathize with the user.

With a strong background in print design and page layout, we are are comfortable handling everything from large scale documents to interactive and accessible digital PDFs. We specialize in finding creative ways to keep the user engaged.

DECK TEMPLATE DESIGN

With sales teams hitting the ground running, we recently built a flexible, comprehensive and on-brand theme in Google Slides paired with recommendations and tools to accommodate everything from short presentations to longer reports.

 

SOCIAL & BLOG TEMPLATE DESIGN

While every blog and social post deserves an eye-catching image, our task was to avoid bottlenecking new work in design and to equip the marketing team with templates that allow them to turn new posts and articles out quickly and effectively.

ONGOING STRATEGY

One of the biggest parts of our current role within the organization is not only to implement their new marketing brand, but to synthesize it with the other brand properties in play (that had been left out of the original branding initiative).

As we create new work, we are constantly codifying our styles in Figma and Storybook, and are collaborating with PMs across the company to keep the needle moving towards consistency and clarity in our design systems.
