Cultivating thriving schools and healthy organizations

The Teaching Well equips educators with the resilience and socio-emotional skills they need to build sustainable, healthy school cultures.

Founded in Oakland by and for educators, TTW partners with schools and districts across the country to heal adult culture and build thriving school ecosystems rooted in healthy dialogue, stress resilience, and collective care. They tackle the current education staffing crisis by empowering organizations to move from burnout to sustainability, because when the adults in schools are healthy and supported, students thrive.

A BOLD AND VIBRANT BRAND

The Teaching Well had grown into a bold, dynamic, global majority-led organization doing nationally recognized work, but their visual identity had not kept pace. The brand felt dated and unclear, making it hard for schools, districts, and funders to immediately understand TTW’s energy and expertise.

We came in to change that. Working closely with their leadership team, we developed a visual identity that finally matched the vibrancy, diversity, and innovation of the organization they had built, then extended it across a full suite of collateral, including one-pagers, marketing flyers, and business cards that gave the team polished, confidence-inspiring materials to put in front of any audience.

DESIGNED TO STAND OUT EVERYWHERE

A brand that lives only in a style guide isn't doing its job. We built The Teaching Well's identity to travel, extending it into digital campaigns, social media templates, and web applications that could meet educators and district leaders wherever they are.

The social media template system was designed for flexibility and ease, giving TTW's team the ability to create fresh, on-brand content independently. Bold typography, rich photography, and the warmth of the new visual identity come through at every scale, from a phone screen to billboard.

So proud of the work that we have done to find a new bold visual direction for The Teaching Well, and had so much fun collaborating with the team at Flight Design Co., who really got it from day one.

I feel like we really landed on a visual identity that reflects the magical unicorn combination of this bold, dynamic, global majority group of educators, coaches, and healers.
