FOOD THAT WARMS THE SOUL

Our challenge was to create a brand that felt warm and approachable to shrimp and grits lovers from all corners of the Bay Area.

We focused on getting to the heart of Yaphet’s mission to spread love through food — focusing on how they could build a welcoming, warm and iconic brand that would appeal to a wide range of folks across the Bay and beyond.

Building on the bright Tiffany blue from Yaphet’s vision, we brought in playful fonts and bright colors to create an elevated look that still communicates the same welcoming optimism and warmth that Yaphet exudes in all he does.

 
 
 
 

Real food cooked with love

For Yaphet Santana, owner and operator of The Shrimp & Grits Company, the most rewarding part of the 4-week branding process with us was the brand strategy and reflection.

He approached it with the same warmth, integrity and care that he does with his cooking and life: “My favorite part of the process was also the most difficult part: the questions. It allowed me to think big and examine the larger picture while exploring and identifying the smallest detail.”
